Bet Alef invites you to come as a family to explore the Jewish spiritual path and integrate a meaningful Jewish practice at home.
We encourage children and parents to learn from one another, so that all may share a common spirituality.
Our goal is to create a shared identity that is rooted in millennia-old traditions. We seek both the transmission and re-membering of this identity and spiritual values from generation-to-generation. To learn about our two year B’nai Mitzvah program, open to members and non-members, see our B’nai Mitzvah page.
Our family holidays, Shabbat and Havdallah celebrations attract families with children of all ages. After sharing in lighting the candles and blessings, prayers and songs, children and parents partake in delicious potlucks in a
relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
In September 2012, we are launching B’Yachad (together), a school for learning together and adding more dimensions to a more fully-lived Jewish life. Classes will be subject driven, taught by professionals and range from Hebrew to comparative religion to meditation to Mitzvot. Unlike many traditional religious schools, children learn alongside of adults.
For upcoming family activities, please see our calendar of events.
