President's Message from Michael Geller
Your valued
support
in the past
has been essential to the well-being of our community. Without you, we
cease to exist. In these challenging times, in the face of serious economic downtrends, your support is even more critical. We frankly face a reduction in membership dues and an increased need for donations and fund raising in order to support the varied and valued efforts of our Bet Alef community. This presents each of us with the unique opportunity to choose to support Bet Alef, simply because it is such an important element in our lives. We are now putting out the call for service and accountability from our entire community: to volunteer for committees, office support, and fundraising. We recognize that membership is not for everyone, that there are reasons why formal membership may not be right for some who value Bet Alef and its teachings. So we are inviting such people to become a Friend of Bet Alef, with a regular committed contribution in support of our work. We
are deeply grateful for the community that Rabbi Ted created, and that
will continue under the guidance of Rabbi Olivier in 2010. Our members
and guests support with this community their presence and their
dollars. We are in the middle of an exciting year, and we invite you to
be a vital part of
