Sylvia Boorstein invites us to a day of contemplation, storytelling, and deepening spiritual teachings; punctuated by periods of Mindfulness and Loving-Kindness meditations. She will guide us in better understanding a new-found renewal of a meditative weekly retreat-day called “Sabbath” and help us enter mindfully into spring by setting our intentions and aspirations for liberation that are at the center of the spring holiday season.
A co-founding teacher at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre CA, a senior teacher at Insight Meditation Center in Barre MA, and a member of the faculty at the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, Sylvia has taught Mindfulness and Lovingkindness retreats at Omega and Kripalu and Garrison Institutes as well as in Europe and Israel. Her ve published books include, That’s Funny, You Don’t Look Buddhist: On Being a Faithful Jew and A Passionate Buddhist and Pay Attention, For Goodness’ Sake: Practicing the Perfections of the Heart and the Buddhist Path of Kindness.
