Sukkot

All Sukkot events include the opportunity to fulfill the mitzvah of waving the lulav and etrog, which takes place in our Community Sukkah. Be sure to register for Sukkot events and festivities to get directions to Bet Alef’s offsite Sukkah. These events are free and open to all (members and non-members.) 

Decorate the Sukkah

Sunday, September 23, 2-5 PM

Together, children and adults create the decorations for our community sukkah, learn about the meaning and participate in specific rituals of Sukkot.

Torah Study in the Sukkah 2012

Dinner, Havdalah, & Movie in the Sukkah to Follow!

Bring-your-own lunch and join with Rabbi Olivier to explore the passages in Torah where Sukkot is mentioned, share in the mystical aspects of Sukkot and learn how this observance of the Holiday relates to our own lives.

 

 

Simchat Torah Celebration

 

Simchat Torah 2012Monday, October 1 at 7-8:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall

Experience the ending and immediate beginning again of the annual Torah reading cycle. Dance and celebrate with the Torah. The celebration includes a service with dancing, singing and the Joy of Torah.
