United in Spirit Day 2017

Join Rabbi Olivier, Father William Treacy of the Treacy-Levine Center and Contemplative Outreach facilitators for a day of meditation, contemplation, community and reflection. Following a year that has focused on what divides us, United in Spirit Day invites us to examine the nature of such alienation, together with the deeper spark of divine connection—a spark that can provide the foundation for healing, peace and developing a united vision for tomorrow.

Time: The retreat will begin at 10am and end at 2pm. We recommend arriving closer to 9:30 so you can find the room, enjoy a complimentary pastry and cup of coffee, tea or water as you prefer. Although we need to clear the event room by 2:15, the grounds are beautiful, and if weather permits, you may wish to allow a little added time for an additional meditative walk.

Address: The St. Mary on the Lake Peace & Spirituality Center is located at 1663 Killarney Way in Bellevue, with 520 to the north, I-90 to the south and I-405 to the east.

Directions: Taking 520, exit onto I-405 southbound, or, taking I-90, exit onto I-405 northbound, and then exit at exit 12 onto S.E. 8th Street, turning right onto S.E. 8th. Then in approximately 0.3 mile, turn left onto 112th Ave S.E. Continue on 112th for approximately 0.6 mile and turn onto Bellevue Way S.E. Just 0.2 mile later, turn left onto S.E. 16th Street. In 0.4 mile, you’ll see the sign for Killarney Way-turn left, and the retreat center will be on your right. Proceed down the tree-lined drive. The retreat center will be just ahead on a circular driveway, parking to your left.

Parking: Parking is limited, so if you have the opportunity to carpool, all the better! The Sisters advise it’s best not to leave valuables in the car, so as not to offer temptation to weak willed souls who may pass through the neighborhood! You’ll find parking just to the left, just prior to the circular drive fronting the retreat center.

Retreat Room: We’ll be gathering in the Lakeview room. You’ll find signs directing you upon entry in the retreat center. The center is ADA compliant.

Refreshments/Lunch: We’ll provide coffee, tea and water, together with some pastries prior to our 10am beginning. All the more reason to arrive by 9:30! Lunch will also be provided. Upon confirmation of your registration request, you’ll receive choices for lunch. Food service will be supported in part by the Treacy Levine Center; donations to assist in covering the retreat cost are optional, but will be gratefully accepted.

What to Bring: If you tend to be cool while sitting, bring a warm sweater, socks and/or light blanket or wrap.
